Forms Design Improvements You now have a more flexible way to customize forms such as invoices, sales orders or quotes for a more professional representation of their business. Improvements include the ability to add fields, colors, logos and other information with a new, simple design screen and to modify the layout of our forms more easily. With Peachtree 2008, you can also turn on and off fields on task screens and Peachtree will automatically change the printed form
Enhanced Report Options With Peachtree 2008, the ability to add additional fields to the 19 key reports also makes it easier to locate key information. And the redesigned screens make it much easier to filter and sort your reports. These changes can be found in some of the most frequently used reports, such as the General Ledger, Account Reconciliation Report, Check Register and Aged Receivables and Payables reports and more!
Add Attachments Peachtree 2008 allows files to be stored in Peachtree records, such as customers, vendors, employees and inventory items. All standard types of files are supported, including Microsoft Excel spreadsheets or Word files, photographs or scanned documents.
Flexible Unit and Quantity Decimal Settings If you manage inventory in your business, you can now set up Peachtree so that you have different decimal setting requirements for units and for quantities. For either the unit or the quantity, you can select the number of decimal places up 5 places!
Saving Records and Transactions Performance Experience drastically reduced transaction and record save times when reports are open. Now, saving a transaction can go from 10 seconds to less than a third of a second. Enhanced Technology The underlying framework for Peachtree includes a new database to better meet the needs of growing businesses. The new database provides improvements when opening windows and saving transactions but multi-user environments will see a reduction in “lock-ups”.
Multi-Tasking Screens Peachtree windows now open separately and are no longer confined within the application so that you can locate Peachtree screens anywhere on the desktop to improve the ability to multi-task with other applications.
Easy Access to Lists At-a-glance find, view, drill down, print and e-mail information and records easier and quicker. You can view key information records all at once with lists. The ability to sort and search on lists on customers & vendors as well as transactions such as invoices and payments.

More Professional Looking Forms This feature will improve the way forms are designed, improving layout and giving the forms a more professional look.
Online Bank Reconciliation You can reduce the time that it takes to reconcile your bank accounts by downloading your bank statement into Peachtree. Items that have cleared your bank are matched up with existing entries in Peachtree for faster reconciliation.
Duplicate reference number warning Peachtree will now warn you when a duplicate reference number is being used on a quote, invoice, credit memo or purchase order. No more duplicate numbers!
Smart Sort for IDs IDs on lookup lists are now sorted alphabetically (non-case sensitive) making data entry fast and easy.
Auto Complete Text Fields With Auto Complete Text Fields, you can complete their data entry faster and with greater accuracy. Peachtree will automatically fill in key fields based on past entries and store info in drop down menus for future use.
